      The Hartree Centre will soon be tendering for an accelerated HPC system, software, maintenance & support, and associated electrical and cooling installation works. The system will support the Hartree Centre's HPC and AI workloads as well as providing a stepping-stone for its exascale ambitions, and be delivered into a newly built data centre in 2024. The total budget for this project is £20m inclusive of VAT.

      This PIN is to advise the market of this upcoming procurement and to provide an update following the previous communications on this project via notice with reference: 2022/S 000-022928. Following market engagement, the intention is to delay the launch of this tender with our current intention to publish a Contract Notice in March/April 2023 inviting bids back in June. We have created an area within UKRI's e-Sourcing Portal to share documentation with the market and to garner feedback and take any questions prior to the tender launch.
